D-Nox & Beckers pick winning remixes

Baroque Records, together with D-Nox & Beckers, have picked the winners in their “Call Me” remix contest, and it’s quite a list of callbacks indeed. The label was so impressed with the caliber of entries that they selected ten remixes for special recognition. Today we announce the grand prize winner; we’ll be rolling out the rest of the names throughout the week.

You may notice that the winners don’t necessarily have high spin counts; that’s because Baroque and D-Nox & Beckers actually listened to all the contest entries—talk about thorough!

The winning entry comes from Lisbon, Portugal’s Razat Laboratory, aka Baltazar Gallego, aka Dr. Razat, a music-production student who describes his own hybrid live/DJ sets as “a crazy mix of electro/nu-rave/drum’n’bass/dubstep/psytrance.”

In recognition of his achievement, Razat takes home an Apple iPad and a $200 Beatport gift card—and, of course, he’ll enjoy the honor of having his remixed released on D-Nox and Beckers’ Baroque Records.
